12. How to improve your L&D
CLO with CXOs (knocking CEO’s cabin) : May we come in? CEO : Of course! Thanks Leaders for Troubleshooting our Organization. Mr. CLO, What's Next? CLO : Now that we have a decent understanding of our business and how learning (aka L&D) is going to make it better, let's plan to improve our existing L&D. One of the CXOs : But how to do that? CLO : Remember, we worked on our Baseline L&D Assessment some time back? CXOs : Yea, that was a good exercise. CLO : It was done when we launched our Corporate OutLearning Practice, to set the ball rolling and find out our existing L&D's strengths and weaknesses. But now we will systematically work on each of those 8 points, to make it better. CEO : Go deeper on this... CLO : The L&D assessment had 8 questions which covered the whole gamut of L&D in a nutshell. Let us retake the test again and find out our latest score.
Once you re-take the test, on the results page, click on View Questions tab. You will see all the questions along with your rating. Look at each of the questions, your assessment/rating and brainstorm on what we can do to improve that rating. This will be our action plan to improve our L&D.
Some of the actions might already be in the pipeline, some we might have just done during our exercise in last few editions, while some you might find out after this exercise.
CEO : Makes sense. Let us do it.
More than the score, what matters, is the action plan to improve that score.
